New Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force granted audience by the Chairman of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of LCBC member countries

The Chairman of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), President of the Republic of Niger, H.E Mr. Issoufou Mahamadou granted audience on Tuesday, 18 July 2017, in the afternoon to the new Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) of the member countries of LCBC, Major General Lucky Irabor.
The audience took place in the presence of the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Kalla Moutari, the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Seyni Garba, and the Executive Secretary of LCBC, Head of Mission of the Multinational Joint Task Force, Engr. Sanusi Imran Abdullahi.
The Executive Secretary of LCBC, Mr.  Abdullahi said that he has come to introduce the new Commander of the MNJTF and highlighted that the fight against Boko Haram undertaken by the armies of member countries under the banner of MNJTF, recorded tremendous success for the past two years.
The new Commander of the MNJTF declared that he has to introduce himself to the Chairman of the Summit of LCBC and receive his wise pieces of advice.
Major General Lucky Irabor confirmed the great achievements in terms of outstanding results recorded in the fight against Boko Haram, citing the weakening of the capacities of this terrorist group, which exercises extreme violence.
‘’I am convinced that thanks to the strategy set up and the wise pieces of advice from the Chairman of the Summit and the God’s blessings , we will eradicate Boko Haram soon’’, said the Commander of the MNJTF.
