The Executive Secretary visited the 1st Commissioner for LCBC of Chad
N’DJAMENA 7th August, 2020: The Executive Secretary of LCBC on 7th August, 2020, paid an official visit to the Honourable Minister of Hydraulics and the 1st Commissioner of Chad to LCBC Mme. Tahani Mahamat HASSAN. The ES congratulated the Minister on her appointment by the President of the Republic, Marshall Idriss Deby ITNO, and wished her well in her engagements in the ministry.
The ES updated her on the workings of the Commission and its engagements in the Region. In particular issues around the Inter Basin Water Transfer project, the implementation of the Regional Stabilization Strategy and continued counterterrorism initiatives of the governments of the region under the auspices of the Multinational Joint Task Force.
The Minister appreciated the ES for taking time out to visit the Ministry and to update her on the developmental engagements of the LCBC. HASSAN reaffirmed commitment and continued support of the Chadian government to the LCBC in the task of ensuring sustainable development is brought to the Region.
