Introduction

The Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the harmonious management of the waters and other natural resources of the Lake Chad Basin, preservation of the ecosystems, and promotion of regional integration, peace, security, and development

The LCBC is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its stakeholders, including staff, partners, experts, consultants, member state representatives, and users of its official digital platforms and information systems (e.g., website, knowledge management platforms, and official social media).

This Privacy Policy explains how the LCBC collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data in compliance with its mandate, internal rules, and applicable international and regional data protection stand

Scope and Application

This policy applies to all forms of personal data, whether electronic or physical, collected and processed by the LCBC in the course of its operations.

The LCBC processes Personal Data only when a legal basis exists, which may include:
