Call for Expression of Interest for Drafting – Annex No. 12 to the Lake Chad Basin Water Charter

At the conclusion of the 69th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers, it was resolved to develop Annex No. 12 to the Lake Chad Basin Water Charter, addressing specific provisions for pastoralism in the Lake Chad Basin. The PETRA Project, in collaboration with GIZ, has been entrusted with this mandate. This initiative aims to establish a framework for the ‘Recognition of Pastoral Rights’ and ‘Sustainable Pastoralism’ within the Water Charter.
The LCBC, through its Partner GIZ is now initiating the recruitment process for a suitable consultant to support the drafting of Annex No. 12 of the Lake Chad Basin Water Charter. Qualified and interested consultants are invited to apply on or before 12:00 PM on 14th April 2025.
