The project is a continuation of the sustainable development program of Lake Chad (PRODEBALT) in progress and in connection with the forecast programs of the GEF (Global Environmental Facility) and AfDB (African Development Bank). It is understood as a decision support tool for the definition of a sustainable development of Lake Chad and thus integrates all existing data produced under previous research programs and studies. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the preservation of Lake Chad and its socio-economic development.

 Duration: 3 years: (September 2012-2015)

 Budget: 0.8 million Euros

 Beneficiary Countries: Libya, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad
